Abstract

This PhD thesis examines the epistemological status of the science of the soul as presented in Avicenna's "Kitab al-nafs." It explores the nature, content, sources, and the surrounding scholarship concerning Avicenna's work, alongside a critical discussion of Aristotelian psychology and its influence during Late Antiquity. The research aims to clarify how Avicenna's interpretations and arguments contribute to the understanding of the soul in philosophical discourse.

В докторской диссертации рассматривается эпистемологический статус науки о душе, представленной в труде Авиценны "Китаб ал-нафс". Рассмотрены природа науки о душе, ее содержание, источники и сопутствующие научные исследования, касающиеся работ Авиценны, а также критическое обсуждение аристотелевской психологии и ее влияния в период поздней античности. Цель исследования - выяснить, как интерпретации и аргументы Авиценны способствуют пониманию души в философском дискурсе.
