Spatial Readings and Linguistic Landscapes

Abstract

The book presents a selection of literary and linguistic studies that unite East and West along an imaginary axis, offering a complex, serious and innovative analysis of prose, drama and film texts in the culture of different countries. The authors of the collection's articles consider the manifestations of the concepts "spatial reading", "linguistic landscape", and performance space. The phenomenon of migration and the teaching of foreign languages are also considered through the prism of spatial correspondences. The articles consider the letters of Zola, the spatiality in the Romanian novel of the interwar period, the oriental spaces of Salman Rushdie, Greek translations in the Romanian literary space and the third space revealed in the process of teaching Romanian to foreigners.

В книге представлена подборка исследований в области литературы и лингвистики, объединяющих Восток и Запад вдоль воображаемой оси, предлагая сложный, серьезный и новаторский анализ прозы, драматургии и кинотекстов в культуре разных стран. Авторами статей сборника рассмотрены проявления концептов "пространственное чтение", "лингвистический ландшафт", пространство перформанса. Через призму пространственных соответствий рассмотрены также феномен миграции и преподавание иностранных языков. В статьях рассмотрены письма Золя, пространственность в румынском романе межвоенного периода, восточные пространства Салмана Рушди, греческие переводы в румынском литературном пространстве и третье пространство, выявленное в процессе преподавания румынского языка иностранцам.
