Abstract

The experimental edition examines metaphor in poetry from the point of view of the creator of the poetic work and its recipients. The book uses interviews, questionnaires and recordings of conversations with poets, translators, and readers, explores the functions and interpretations of metaphors from various points of view. In addition to theoretical contributions to the field of metaphor studies, the monograph presents numerous practical analyses of the use of metaphors in modern poetry and in other examples of poetic creativity.
