The collective monograph examines the controversial issues of reforming international investment agreements during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Leading experts in this legal field offer an in-depth study of the measures taken (or not) by States during this period and an assessment of the risks of investment arbitration. The positions of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), the European Union, the USA, Russia, India, South Korea and the African Union are considered. The chapters of the book address issues such as the attitude towards investors during the pandemic and in the post-pandemic period; the investor's contribution to the economic development of the host State; inequality of opportunities in negotiations, the use of the "pandemic factor" to provide preferential treatment.
