Abstract: The venting system of the oil sump of the engine supports, as is known, is designed to remove air from these sump, which penetrates them through the movable shaft seals of the gas turbine engine and prevents oil leakage from these sump. When this air is removed from the oil sump of the engine through the venting system, oil separation is performed in it, the effectiveness of which determines the amount of operating oil consumption. Equally important is hydraulic characteristic of the venting system, which affects the available pressure drop on the seals of the oil sump of the gas turbine engine. In the event of a failure of one of the sails, the flow capacity of the venting system mast have a reserve that prevents oil losses due to increased pressure in the sump of the supports. This report deals with experimental methods for determining such a stock.
