| Abstract: | The tightening of environmental emission standards for engines and power plants increases the importance of developing low-emission combustion technologies. The purpose of this work is to improve the efficiency of multi-fuel burner design through the development of numerical modeling methods. A computational-experimental study of combustion of methane-hydrogen mixtures and pure hydrogen in burner devices of gas turbine engine combustion chambers has been carried out. The level of nitrogen oxides emission has been estimated, the numerical modeling technique has been worked out and the validation of the mathematical model has been performed. Special attention is paid to the influence of hydrogen on turbulent combustion and to the accuracy of prediction of combustion parameters taking into account changes in the flame propagation velocity and gas dynamic criteria. |
