| Abstract: | There are two cases when an attribute in a text becomes pleonastic: 1) if in the text there is another component of the same meaning standing near the attribute; 2) if the meaning of the attribute is reflected in the meaning of the noun modified. Pleonastic attributes are used in the text in order to make the information transfer more reliable. |
