Роль функциональных характеристик научного дискурса формировании дискурсивной компетенции студентов

Abstract

The article surveys functional characteristics of discourse and the ways of their employing in developing students’ discourse competence in terms of methods of teaching a foreign language. Discourse competence implies an ability to differentiate between various types of discourse, to create them in accordance with the norms o f verbal and non-verbal behaviour. There are certain principles to realize this idea which serve as a basis for classifying exercises, as well as habits and skills acquired by students.
