| Abstract: | The English language in Canada is characterized by the pluricentric mode of standard development. As a result of this, different local usages of Canadian English possess a considerable stock of divergent lexical units, entering complicated synonimic relations on different diatopic levels — regional, interregional and national. The present article is devoted to description of various patterns of synonimic links within eachfunctional type. |
