Объективация этнокультурных стереотипов в семантике заимствований

Abstract

Статья посвящена изучению семантическому потенциала слов бойкот и boycott. На первом этапе были изучены этимология и функциональнo-семантический потенциал каждого из слов. Для определения уровня ассимиляции лексемы бойкот в русскоязычном дискурсе была рассмотрена деривативная способность заимствованного слова. Второй этап включал семное описание единиц обоих языков на уровне денотативного и коннотативного макрокомпонентов, которое осуществлялось с помощью семного анализа словарных дефиниций, определение частотности употребления изучаемых слов и выявление лексической сочетаемости указанных лексический пар в английском и русском языках. На третьем этапе были сопоставлены все показатели и указаны национально-специфические компоненты в контрастируемых парах слов. The article is devoted to the study of the semantic potential of the words бойкот and boycott. At the first stage the etymology and semantic structures of each of the words were under the study. The findings of the analysis reveal derivational abilities and functions of the borrowed word and the native word. The second stage confirmed lexical and connotative senses in the meaning of the word. It was carried out by analyzing dictionary definitions, determining the frequency of use of the words, and revealing the lexical compatibility of the words in English and Russian. At the third stage, all indicators were compared and national-specific features were confirmed. The new facts were revealed about the semantic adaptation of the borrowed word in the system of the Russian language and its paradigmatic and syntagmatic connections in the system of the recipient language.
