| dc.description.abstract | Nigeria, as Africa's largest oil producer, has long relied on crude oil exports but faces challenges in domestic refining capacity, leading to fuel imports despite its vast resources. Developing Nigeria’s oil refinery sector requires a multi-faceted approach to address inefficiencies, attract investment, and meet domestic demand. Nigeria could adopt a hybrid strategy - future proofing with green H₂ and Solar-powered refineries in order to avoid stranded assets and meet climate pledges (Nigeria’s 2060 net-zero goal). | |
