Abstract: Different CFD software implementing different algorithms of finite volume method were used to simulate transonic performance of NACA0012 airfoil. Influence of various factors (boundary conditions, turbulence models, interpolation schemes and etc.) was investigated. A number of surprising conclusions on sources of error was made.
