dc.description.abstractThis paper presents the results of the HPT hollow disk design using parametric and topological optimization. Study results show that the disk weight is reduced by 10% compared to the conventional design with the same safety factor level. Optimized hollow disk has been changed to insure possibility of its production by additive manufacturing. We are planning to conduct comprehensive works to study the possibility of using "printed" disks.
