dc.description.abstractIn order to optimize the vane film cooling and thereby increase the efficiency of a gas turbine, different film cooling configurations were computationally investigated. A computational study is carried out for comparison of the effectiveness of film cooling through holes of different shapes: cylindrical, fan-shaped, and laidback fan-shaped film-cooling holes in adiabatic and conjugate conditions.
