dc.description.abstractThis work is devoted to the experimental determination of CFRP shear mechanical properties by the asymmetric four-point bending test using digital image correlation method. This method is proposed as an alternative to ASTM standards. The paper presents results of asymmetric four-point bending test compared to results of tests on standard ASTM D5379. It is shown that in determining the strength and the interlaminar shear modulus, both methods show quantitatively comparable results. Also has been shown advantages of this technique in determining in-plane shear modulus.
